Quotes and Interest Checks

Can I get a commission quote?

Yes, feel free to DM, but please keep in mind a quote expires after a month as per my TOS and must be quoted again after expiration for pricing accuracy. For this reason, I may hold off on giving a quote if I expect it to expire before my next commission opening.

What do you need to get a quote?

I am able to give the most accurate quote based on the amount of detail I’m given. Vague prompts are much harder to quote than detailed ones. A quote may differ from the final total, should the form be chosen, especially if the form details differ greatly than the quote.

Will you give quotes prior to a commission opening announcement, even if it may expire?

In some cases, yes! Though I strongly prefer to wait until a commission opening is announced before requesting quotes. I may be willing to quote a rough estimate of experimental pieces, scenes, and reference sheets due to their high variability. However, I suggest receiving a more precise quote during the actual announcement period. My other commission types such as fullbodies, chibis, and icons may be roughly calculated based on my available prices, so I will not quote these types if I expect the quote to expire.

Commission Acceptance

Are your commission slots first-come first-serve?

No. They are selected based on interest, expected queue length, available time, and overall complexity.

What's the best chance for my inquiry to be chosen?

You may contact me beforehand with a list of less than five characters to inquire about my interest in drawing them. You may also ask what commission types I’m interested in taking on. However, keep in mind selection is still not guaranteed.

Do you accept inquiries during or after the inquiry opening period?

I accept and contact people about their inquiries throughout the opening period, with one to two days of flex time for inquiries I’m on the fence about accepting!

Can I resubmit a form that I have before if it didn't get accepted previously?

Feel free to! A copy of your form should have been sent to the email you used to submit your inquiry, though if you've misplaced it, feel free to ask me to look for your previous form.

Commission Openings

When do you open commissions?

I open commissions once a quarter, for an opening period of one week at a time. Unless I have given an announcement, I have no specific date in mind.

Commission Forms

May I submit multiple forms?

Yes, but please keep it to under five! Additionally, please specify the maximum number of forms you are hoping to be accepted, as I may accept multiple.

May I get confirmation that my form was sent?

Yes, absolutely! Feel free to DM me!

Payment Plans and Holds

Do you take payment plans or holds?

Yes, I allow both. As per my terms of service, I allow commission payment plans and holds for orders over $125 with a $75 down payment. For adopt payment plans and holds, I allow plans up to three weeks, with a $75 non-refundable down payment. Longer payment plans and holds for amounts over $500 may be discussed, though concrete dates still must be upheld.

In both commission- and adopts-based payment plans and holds, how long do you allow them to be?

Generally, I prefer a $250 to $500 a month. A good rule of thumb is to divide the payment plan or hold by $250 for the maximum length I would most likely allow! I understand longer payment plans can introduce higher chance of life curveballs happening in the middle of them, so delays are okay as long as communication is consistent and followed through. Payment plans can also be paid ahead of the proposed schedule as well, just make sure to let me know an advanced payment has been sent!

Do commission payment plans coincide with your adopts terms of service, which requires no payment plan to be able to bid?

No, they are separate. If you have an ongoing commission payment plan but no adopt payment plan, you may bid on adopts. Similarly, if you have an adopt payment plan, you can still commission me.

Redesigns and Customs

Do you take redesign inquiries, and how are they priced?

I am tentatively open to redesign inquiries, though I am reserved about them and as such do not have them officially priced. I take redesign inquiries on a case-by-case basis! More often than not, I am more interested in minor redesigns and accessory additions, rather than major redesigns. Pricing will depend to what extent the design will be redesigned but tend to start at $200.

Do you offer custom designs?

I do not offer custom designs as a form of commission. Rather, I auction a custom design intermittently, whenever it fits my schedule. The auction starts at $200.

Drawing Comfort

Will you work with on-base characters?

I do not prefer them. If submitted, addition of visual references and written notes, as well as extra care when checking during the sketch phase, is needed. An additional fee will be added.

Are you comfortable drawing this?

Please check my boundaries and preferences listed on the initial pricing page first. If you would like to inquire about a specific character, feel free to DM me.

Design Process

How do you pick your palettes?

I select my palettes off the top of my head, with a focus on what may complement the intended feel of the design.

How do you choose your prompts?

I privately jot down any idea that pops into my head, while other times I just wing it. If I have a theme or focus, that tends to give me more direction. Occasionally, I use a mix of real life references, phrases, poems, perfume names, and user input.

Drawing Process

What hardware and software do you use?

For hardware, I use the Huion H610 PRO V2 and iPad. For software, I use Clip Studio Paint, Procreate, and Live2D.

Do you share your brushes?

No. Due to my poor memory of all brushmakers' redistribution terms in my collections across art programs, I avoid sharing brush files altogether.

Adopts

When will your next design(s) be posted?

I do not have a specific answer. For 2026, I expect to release a design every one to two weeks. Please keep an eye on the previews channel in my Discord server or Toyhouse bulletins, as the design will most likely be posted within 24 to 48 hours after its preview.

Do you take pre-offers, pre-bids, or pre-claims?

No, in the majority of cases, I do not take pre-offers, pre-bids, or pre-claims prior to posting the adopt. For custom slot auctions, pre-bids may be okay, but are discouraged as there will be enough time to bid when posted.

Do you allow private offers?

Yes, if it feels necessary to stay anonymous, private offers are okay! I will do my best to communicate the offerer's preferences while at the same time doing my best to provide a clear description of the offer to public offerers. It should be noted that when the majority of offers are done so privately, communication may become backlogged due to being done through me, so please try to privately offer only when necessary.

How do you decide when to include an autobuy option?

I usually post autobuys at the time of the design when I expect my schedule to be busy. When I don’t post it immediately, I usually post the autobuy price roughly halfway through the offering period. If I don’t end up posting it, it’s because I’m busy and attending to other things in life.

Why didn't I get a response to my offer?

I may not be able to respond to everyone remaining after making a final decision. Please assume that I went with another offer if I have not responded after the period of consideration has passed. However, all offers are deeply appreciated!

Do you do edits to designs after purchase?

Unfortunately not. While I would love to, I don't have adequate time in my schedule to make the changes myself. However, the buyer is absolutely free to make these changes and reinterpret the design through their own art or through commissioned work! Please do not remove the original art after any edits.

Do you provide alternate files of the design?

By default I do not provide alternate files. What is posted in the design's profile are the final files the design will come with. For example, if a design is posted with only non-separated accessories, then I do not have files with the separated versions and hence did not post them with.

What does the ownership cooldown apply to?

It applies to all forms of offering, selling, trading, and gifting. The cooldown is intended for an interim between transfer of ownership, regardless of the means through which it is done.

Special Circumstances

If I am under 18, can I have someone over 18 fill out an inquiry form or bid for me?

Yes you may! The person over 18 who is filling out the form or bidding for you must also be in charge of payment, as I do not do monetary exchanges with minors. Please make sure to mention that someone over 18 is filling the form out or bidding for you.

Can I commission a piece intended as a gift to someone else?

Yes, certainly, whether for general gifts, birthdays, anniversaries, and the like! Please just let me know beforehand, and if there are any deadlines that may incur a rush fee. Additionally, let me know if you would like the information I typically input in my Trello queue as redacted so that there is no chance for spoiling.

Can I ask for alternate versions of a commission, such as versions with and without accessories, color variations, and so on?

Yes, but these must be requested within the inquiry form to assess the extra fee due to the additional workload and time. There may be select scenarios where requesting additional versions after payment is sent is okay, but keep in mind an additional fee may be required. Specific to versions with and without accessories, this is required to be stated in the inquiry form, and cannot be requested in the middle of drawing process when past the lining stage.

Would you be willing to keep a commission private after completion, and is there a fee?

I would be willing to keep a commission private upon explicit prior request with no fee. However, because finished commissionwork is important for me to be able to market myself, I do not prefer taking on inquiries with these limitations. Instead, if it is acceptable to watermark the finished piece more heavily for the client's comfort when sharing it, that is the preferred middle ground.
